As a fitness professional with a scientific background, I am paving my way in to the New York scene.
Born in London with Franco-Scottish routes, I grew up in the U.K. where I obtained my Masters in Chemistry at the University of Birmingham. During University, playing Rugby and Ice Hockey helped me better understand the development of an elite athlete. My intensity on the ice landed me the role of captain, leading to national tournaments in the UK.
Upon immigrating to the United States, I began my career into the fitness industry. Interestingly enough, the journey started with a serious injury; an osteochondral defect, on my left femur. This procedure took two surgeries which meant I recovered twice in the span of a single year – I’ll tell you myself that crutches and New York City winter do not go well together! This injury has enabled me to develop a speciality in working with post surgical rehabilitation, including all types of injuries; with the client back on the weight floor before they know it.
